Port Sailing Center and School has its office located at Brewer Capri
Marina in Port Washington, New York. We own and operate a fleet of 14 boats
ranging from 22-ft. to 43-ft. Each year we teach hundreds of adults and
children to sail from our New York and Tortola bases. In addition to
sailing lessons, we charter sailboats and offer fractional sailing
memberships on our larger boats.
We are very proud of our summer staff. Many have now or soon will be
Naval, Merchant Marine and Coast Guard officers. Our instructors have an
average of 10 years' sailing experience and are U.S. Sailing- or
American Sailing Association-certified instructors. All instructors
on boats greater than 30 feet are U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captains.
As you
might imagine, working at the sailing school is fun. We love teaching
people how to sail and take pride in our fleet of boats. Having a
diverse fleet and qualified instructors provides our customers with the
opportunity to build the skills and confidence required to handle any
boat.
We know sailing better than other
Caribbean teen programs because we own, operate, and maintain our own fleet of
boats.
Our instructors have over 10
years of sailing experience.
